Responsibilities
- Design and implement reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance and optimize field development plans
- Analyze well data, pressure transient tests, and production history to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with drilling and completions teams to enhance hydraulic fracture designs and well placement strategies
- Develop economic models and reserves evaluations for capital allocation decisions
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on reservoir management best practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies like AI-driven reservoir analytics and digital twins
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS/PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in unconventional plays (preferably Permian or Eagle Ford)
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, tNavigator) and data analytics tools
- Strong understanding of well testing, production optimization, and enhanced oil recovery methods
- Proven ability to develop economic models and reserves reporting (SEC/SPE compliant)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to stakeholders
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing certification
