Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance.
  • Conduct integrated production analysis and pressure transient analysis (PTA) to optimize well recovery.
  • Evaluate acquisition and divestiture (A&D) opportunities with detailed subsurface economic modeling.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight on complex reservoir characterization projects.
  • Collaborate with drilling and completions teams to design efficient well placement strategies.
  • Perform uncertainty quantification using probabilistic methods to support investment decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements in field development operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in reservoir engineering, specifically within US shale plays.
  • Expertise in industry-standard software such as Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, or OFM.
  • Strong background in decline curve analysis (DCA) and type-curve generation.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale capital projects in the oil and gas sector.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical data to executive leadership.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
