Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex molecular biology experiments to characterize neurological disease mechanisms
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing next-generation gene therapy platforms
- Author and peer-review high-impact scientific publications and patent applications
- Optimize lab protocols for scalability and regulatory compliance (FDA/EMA)
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to strategic R&D planning
- Interface with venture partners and academic collaborators for technology transfer
Qualifications
- PhD in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in CRISPR-Cas9, AAV vector design, and in vivo neuroimaging
- Track record of developing therapeutics from preclinical to IND stage
- Strong statistical analysis skills (R, Python, or MATLAB)
- Experience managing GLP-compliant laboratories and SOP development
- Demonstrated ability to secure NIH grants or industry funding
- Publication record in high-impact journals (Nature, Science, Cell)
