Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary R&D projects from ideation through prototyping and commercialization
- Design and execute experimental protocols for novel material development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (chemistry, engineering, product design)
- Document research findings and prepare patent applications
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Secure and manage external research grants and partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of industrial R&D experience with proven innovation track record
- Expertise in advanced characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, XRD)
- Strong background in polymer chemistry or nanomaterials
- Published research with at least 3 peer-reviewed papers
- Proficiency with statistical analysis and experimental design
- Experience managing R&D budgets and project timelines
