Responsibilities
- Lead autonomous R&D initiatives in machine learning and AI, developing novel algorithms for real-world applications
- Design and implement scalable ML pipelines processing petabyte-scale datasets across distributed systems
- Author 2+ peer-reviewed publications annually in top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR)
- Translate research prototypes into production-ready solutions with 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams in AI best practices
- Secure external funding through NSF/NIH grants and industry partnerships
- Contribute to technical strategy and IP development for 5+ core products
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field with 5+ years industry research experience
- Proven publication record at top-tier conferences (h-index >15)
- Expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and GPU optimization
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and distributed computing (Spark/Kubernetes)
- Strong background in statistical modeling and experimental design
- Experience with MLOps and deploying ML models at scale
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants (>1M USD)
