Responsibilities
- Lead Research Initiatives: Define and execute a strategic roadmap for advanced AI/ML research, with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision.
- Prototype Development: Design, implement, and validate novel algorithms and models using Python and deep learning frameworks.
- Publication & Thought Leadership: Author high-impact academic papers, patents, and technical blog posts to establish thought leadership.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior researchers and PhD interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product management and engineering teams to transition research findings into production-ready features.
- Data Strategy: Curate datasets and establish rigorous experimental baselines to ensure reproducibility and validity.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in applied research or R&D within the tech industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Software Engineering: Solid foundation in C++ and experience with MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle ambiguous problems and derive actionable insights from complex data.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
