Responsibilities
- Lead R&D projects from concept to prototype, developing novel algorithms and experimental methodologies
- Collaborate with physicists and data scientists to optimize quantum computing architectures
- Design and conduct rigorous testing protocols for material properties under extreme conditions
- Secure intellectual property through patent applications and technical documentation
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Secure external funding through competitive grant proposals (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in quantum computing or nanomaterials R&D with published research
- Expertise in Python/C++ and scientific computing frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience securing federal research grants and managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong background in experimental design and statistical analysis methodologies
- Active patents or peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals
