Responsibilities

- Design and execute complex experimental protocols with 6-figure precision equipment
- Collaborate with MIT and Harvard researchers on government-funded DARPA projects
- Author patent applications and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior engineers while driving innovation sprints using agile methodologies
- Translate theoretical models into scalable industrial prototypes
- Present findings to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Materials Science, or Computational Engineering
- 5+ years in high-stakes R&D with proven patent portfolio
- Expertise in quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq) or molecular dynamics simulations
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals (minimum 3 citations)
- Proficiency with cleanroom protocols and SEM/TEM instrumentation
- Experience securing SBIR/STTR grants exceeding $500K
- Strong Python/C++ programming with parallel computing expertise
- Clearable US government security clearance preferred
