Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement acute patient care plans for critically ill patients.
- Monitor and record patient vitals and adjust specialized medical equipment accordingly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and surgeons.
- Administer medications and treatments precisely according to physician protocols.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients and their families.
- Maintain strictly accurate clinical documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students during clinical rotations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (CCRN certification is a plus).
- Strong clinical judgment and crisis management skills.
- Proficiency with modern EHR systems and patient monitoring technology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in high-stress environments.
