Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document the physiological status of critically ill patients.
- Manage ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other life-support equipment with precision.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and surgeons.
- Administer advanced medication protocols and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Educate family members on complex care plans and provide emotional support during critical health events.
- Serve as a clinical mentor to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Valid Massachusetts RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (CCRN certification highly preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
