Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of critically ill patients, monitoring vital signs and interpreting complex telemetry data.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer complex medications and therapies, including ventilators and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to families navigating critical health crises.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Act as a clinical mentor to junior staff and nursing students during rotations.
- Participate in unit-based committees to drive quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a high-acuity ICU setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to function efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
