As a key member of our ICU team, you will manage complex patient cases, lead multidisciplinary care meetings, and mentor junior nursing staff in a state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters for critically ill patients.
- Administer complex medications and intravenous therapies while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Operate and interpret data from advanced life support equipment, including ventilators and bedside monitors.
- Educate family members on patient status, care procedures, and long-term recovery expectations.
- Lead shift handovers ensuring clear communication of patient progress and priority interventions.
- Maintain compliance with stringent hospital safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under extreme pressure.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations and interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, preferably Epic.
