Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamics with precision.
- Collaborate with intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Administer complex medication protocols and manage life-support equipment, including ventilators and dialysis machines.
- Serve as a clinical mentor to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
- Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital and federal standards.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to families of critically ill patients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a high-acuity ICU or CCU setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications are required.
- Demonstrated ability to function calmly under high-pressure, emergency conditions.
- Proficiency with modern EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care.
