Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients continuously, documenting changes in condition.
- Administer complex medications and monitor intravenous lines and life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and execute personalized care plans.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring emotional support and clear communication regarding treatment goals.
- Perform advanced nursing interventions, including ventilator management and arterial line monitoring.
- Maintain precise medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policy.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care or ICU experience in a hospital setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively under extreme pressure and high-stress situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic.
