Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of critically ill patients, monitoring vital signs and adjusting treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
- Administer complex medications and intravenous therapies while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Operate and interpret data from advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and hemodialysis machines.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and clear communication to patient families during high-stress situations.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students to foster a culture of growth and clinical precision.
- Maintain precise, real-time documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under extreme pressure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for multidisciplinary coordination.
- Proficiency in modern EHR platforms such as Epic or Cerner.
