Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of critically ill patients, ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort.
- Administer complex medications, monitor hemodynamic status, and manage life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) and update patient care plans in real-time.
- Act as a preceptor and mentor to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing research projects.
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and post-discharge recovery.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
