Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of critically ill patients, monitoring vital signs and life-support equipment.
- Administer advanced medications and therapeutic interventions as prescribed by the medical team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain precise medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in ongoing departmental training initiatives.
- Respond promptly and effectively to code situations and emergent patient needs.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity critical care setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function effectively under extreme pressure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for patient advocacy and teamwork.
