Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide direct bedside care to critically ill patients.
- Manage ventilators, arterial lines, and complex pharmacological interventions.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to adjust care plans.
- Maintain precise, real-time documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients' families during critical situations.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in department-wide quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to all hospital safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU, CCU, or Cardiac ICU setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure emergency situations.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and technical proficiency with monitoring equipment.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered, ethical care practices.
