Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information accurately.
- Administer complex medications and intravenous therapies according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Operate and maintain life-support equipment, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols in a high-acuity setting.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in department-wide clinical training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU or critical care environment.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively under high-pressure, emergency situations.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, specifically Epic.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient advocacy.
