Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care to patients in a 24/7 ICU environment.
- Manage mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of complex vasoactive drips.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to develop and execute evidence-based care plans.
- Conduct frequent patient assessments and intervene rapidly during acute changes in status.
- Maintain precise electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA and hospital policy.
- Serve as a preceptor and mentor to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (or eligibility to obtain within 6 months).
- Proven ability to perform well under extreme pressure and in high-stress situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on compassionate patient and family advocacy.
- Advanced proficiency in critical care monitoring systems and charting software.
