Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information with precision.
- Administer complex medications and intravenous therapies in a high-acuity setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists.
- Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and hemodialysis machines.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during critical recovery phases.
- Maintain strictly sterile environments and adhere to rigorous safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities thoroughly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care unit.
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program required.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification highly preferred.
- Exceptional critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills under pressure.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a high-paced, high-stress medical environment.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient-centered advocacy.
