Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity bedside nursing care to patients in a 20-bed Intensive Care Unit.
- Manage complex equipment, including ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and dialysis machines.
- Execute precise medication administration and titrate potent vasoactive drips according to clinical protocols.
- Facilitate clear, empathetic communication between the healthcare team, patients, and their families during critical situations.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic health records (EHR) in real-time.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to formulate and adjust patient care plans.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students to foster a culture of learning and safety.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of active ICU experience in an acute care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification or willingness to obtain.
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar major EHR systems.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under extreme pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient advocacy.
