Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients with complex medical conditions in a high-acuity ICU setting.
- Administer advanced life support, medication, and therapeutic treatments according to evidence-based protocols.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, respiratory therapists, and surgeons to optimize patient care plans.
- Operate and interpret data from advanced monitoring equipment, ventilators, and dialysis systems.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients' families during high-stress medical crises.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and mentorship programs for junior nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations with emotional intelligence and clinical precision.
- Strong technical proficiency with Epic or similar integrated EHR platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to advocate for patient needs effectively.
