Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vitals and manage life-support systems with precision.
- Administer complex medications and intravenous therapies per physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations.
- Educate patients and family members regarding care protocols and recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students in clinical best practices.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (CCRN preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
