Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and record patient conditions in a high-acuity ICU environment.
- Administer complex medications and provide advanced wound care as prescribed by the medical team.
- Operate and interpret sophisticated life-support equipment and monitoring systems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Provide critical emotional support and education to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in department-wide quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain precise medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal facility standards.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to perform under extreme pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to a collaborative, team-based culture.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic.
