Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and bedside monitors.
- Administer complex intravenous medications and therapies with high precision.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during critical health crises.
- Maintain comprehensive electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with hospital and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students to foster a culture of growth and safety.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Proven ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in modern EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
