Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-level patient care to critically ill individuals in a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Monitor patient vital signs, adjust ventilators, and manage complex intravenous drips.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with hospital standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and assist with clinical orientation and training.
- Respond promptly to emergency clinical situations and assist in Code Blue scenarios.
- Communicate effectively with patients and family members regarding care plans and status updates.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under intense pressure.
- Exceptional proficiency with modern medical monitoring equipment and EHR systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
