Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and symptom management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments based on clinical assessments
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during cancer treatment journeys
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois (required)
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- 3+ years oncology nursing experience
- Oncology Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (OCN preferred)
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
