Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and formulate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient recovery trajectories.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of critical care or ICU nursing experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
