Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level nursing care to critically ill patients within our 24-bed Intensive Care Unit.
  • Manage and titrate complex vasoactive medications and sedative infusions based on patient hemodynamic status.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of intensivists, respiratory therapists, and specialists to execute precise care plans.
  • Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including mechanical ventilators, CRRT, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
  • Act as a clinical resource and mentor for junior nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Document patient assessments and interventions accurately within the Epic EHR system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program is required.
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center ICU.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications; CCRN certification is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
