Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and stabilize critically ill patients across diverse medical conditions
- Administer precise medication regimens and advanced life support interventions
- Lead interdisciplinary care rounds and mentor junior nursing staff
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with zero-tolerance for errors
- Implement evidence-based practices to reduce ICU-acquired complications
- Collaborate with physicians during rapid response and emergency situations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for ICU protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with current Illinois RN license
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience in Level I trauma center
- ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certifications required
- Expertise in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Proven ability to remain calm under high-pressure scenarios
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Excellent communication skills for family education and team coordination
