Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in high-pressure emergency scenarios
- Lead rapid assessment and stabilization of trauma cases using ATLS protocols
- Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff during complex patient encounters
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with physicians, specialists, and ancillary teams
- Implement evidence-based clinical practices and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Provide patient/family education on treatment plans and discharge protocols
Qualifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred) from accredited nursing program
- Current NYS RN license with minimum 5 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- Proven expertise in rapid response and disaster management protocols
- Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring staff during emergencies
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and critical care monitoring systems
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
