Beacon Health Excellence Center is seeking a dedicated Senior Registered Nurse to join our elite Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess hemodynamically unstable patients requiring advanced cardiac interventions.
- Manage complex mechanical circulatory support devices, including Impella and IABP.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to develop and execute patient-specific care plans.
- Administer vasoactive medications and titrate cardiac infusions with precision.
- Provide patient and family education regarding post-operative cardiac care and recovery.
- Maintain meticulous electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Cardiac ICU or high-acuity Step-Down unit.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- CCR-CMC (Cardiac Medicine Certification) or CSC (Cardiac Surgery Certification) highly desired.
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting complex EKG rhythms and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to perform under high-pressure situations.
