Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, expert-level bedside nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
- Interpret complex telemetry, hemodynamic monitoring, and lab data to adjust care plans in real-time.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists and surgeons, to manage complex treatment pathways.
- Administer advanced cardiovascular medications and titrate drips with precision.
- Provide comprehensive education to patients and families regarding cardiac recovery and long-term heart health.
- Serve as a clinical mentor and preceptor for junior staff and nursing students.
- Maintain impeccable documentation in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU, CCU, or step-down cardiac unit.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree required; MSN preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or ability to obtain CCRN within 6 months).
- Proven ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced clinical environments.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and technical proficiency with medical monitoring hardware.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to compassionate patient care.
