Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive care for patients in a high-acuity cardiac intensive care setting.
- Administer complex cardiac medications and titrate drips under physician protocols.
- Monitor hemodynamic stability and interpret telemetry data in real-time.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary heart-team surgeons and cardiologists to optimize treatment plans.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide empathetic education and support to patients and their families during critical recovery periods.
- Maintain precise electronic medical records ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Cardiac Step-down unit.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proven ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced clinical environments.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to act decisively in emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care excellence.
