Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill cardiac patients using advanced hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
- Administer complex medications and therapies, including vasopressors and antiarrhythmics, as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiologists, surgeons, and respiratory therapists to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Lead and mentor junior nursing staff during high-acuity shifts to ensure standardized clinical excellence.
- Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies and implement rapid-response protocols.
- Document patient progress and interventions with precision using our state-of-the-art EMR system.
- Provide empathetic support and clear education to patients and their families regarding treatment pathways.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Cardiac ICU or Step-Down Unit.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting telemetry and managing ventilator support systems.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to perform under high-pressure scenarios.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based nursing practices and patient safety standards.
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
