Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess hemodynamically unstable cardiac patients with precision.
- Manage complex medication protocols, including vasoactive drips and titration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Operate and monitor advanced life support equipment, including ventilators and ECMO.
- Provide empathetic patient and family education throughout the recovery process.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students in cardiac assessment protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Cardiac ICU or CVICU.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Strong proficiency in cardiac monitoring and emergency interventions.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and critical judgment under high-stress conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered, ethical care.
