Beacon Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Registered Nurse to join our award-winning Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) in Boston. Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide expert nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
- Manage complex cardiovascular equipment, including ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and pacing devices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, surgeons, and respiratory therapists.
- Administer potent cardiac medications and monitor physiological responses meticulously.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain precise electronic health records in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring emotional support for families during critical care transitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or CICU setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in high-stress medical environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Epic or similar Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
