Beacon Health Systems is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of high-acuity cardiac patients, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support.
- Monitor and interpret EKG readings, hemodynamics, and ventilator status with precision.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
- Administer cardiac medications, titrate infusions, and manage complex IV lines.
- Perform timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and lifestyle modifications for heart health.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance standard protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac ICU or critical care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications required.
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring systems and ventilator management.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
