Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of acute cardiac patients, ensuring adherence to standardized care protocols.
- Execute advanced cardiovascular interventions including hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiologists, surgeons, and respiratory therapists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Lead emergency response protocols, including ACLS/BLS procedures during cardiac events.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students in clinical rotations.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) to ensure regulatory compliance and continuity of care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing research projects.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Proficiency in using advanced monitoring equipment and electronic charting systems.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to function under high-pressure environments.
