Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to acute cardiac patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Continuously monitor hemodynamic data and interpret cardiac rhythms to inform treatment adjustments.
- Lead multidisciplinary rounds to ensure integrated care delivery and patient safety.
- Act as a clinical preceptor, providing guidance and educational support to nursing students and new hires.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Coordinate seamlessly with surgical teams during pre-operative and post-operative cardiac procedures.
- Advocate for patient comfort while providing clear, empathetic communication to families.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU, CCU, or high-acuity cardiac setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead diverse clinical teams.
- Proficiency in modern EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred).
