Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, adjusting care plans in response to cardiac telemetry data.
- Administer advanced cardiac medications and manage intravenous drips with precision.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including surgeons, residents, and dietitians to ensure holistic patient recovery.
- Educate patients and family members regarding heart health, medication adherence, and post-operative recovery.
- Supervise junior nursing staff and clinical support personnel during assigned shifts.
- Maintain strictly sterile environments during bedside procedures and assessments.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Cardiac Care or ICU setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in modern EHR platforms such as Epic or Cerner.
