Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive financial models for commercial/residential property acquisitions (DCF, cap rate analysis, IRR projections)
- Conduct granular market research and competitor analysis across Chicago's 77 community areas
- Prepare investment committee presentations with risk-adjusted return scenarios
- Manage due diligence processes including zoning compliance and environmental assessments
- Build relationships with REITs, private equity firms, and institutional investors
- Lead post-acquisition performance tracking and portfolio optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Real Estate/Economics (MBA or CCIM designation preferred)
- 5+ years in commercial real estate investment analysis or underwriting
- Advanced proficiency in Argus, Yardi, and Excel modeling
- Track record of closing $10M+ real estate transactions
- Deep knowledge of Chicago zoning ordinances and development regulations
- CFA Charterholder or equivalent financial modeling certification
- Exceptional presentation skills with ability to influence executive stakeholders
