Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV) for potential real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects across various asset classes.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis, identifying key trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities in target markets.
- Perform in-depth due diligence on prospective investments, including detailed financial, legal, and operational reviews.
- Prepare detailed investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners, clearly articulating findings and recommendations.
- Assist in the underwriting and valuation of commercial real estate properties using Argus Enterprise and other industry-standard software.
- Monitor portfolio performance, track key metrics, and provide insights to optimize asset management strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with brokers, lenders, legal counsel, and other external parties throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree or CFA designation preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in real estate investment, private equity, or investment banking with a focus on real estate.
- Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques (Excel required; Argus Enterprise highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of various real estate asset classes (e.g., multi-family, office, retail, industrial, hospitality).
- Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous due diligence and market analysis.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
