Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex R&D experiments in molecular biology and protein engineering
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate research findings into scalable processes
- Develop novel therapeutic candidates through iterative hypothesis testing
- Secure intellectual property through patent applications and trade secret protection
- Present research findings at industry conferences and peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior scientists and optimize laboratory workflows
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with FDA guidelines
Qualifications
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in therapeutic development from concept to IND filing
- Expertise in CRISPR/Cas9, high-throughput screening, and omics technologies
- Strong statistical analysis skills and experimental design proficiency
- Demonstrated success in securing research grants and patents
- Excellent written communication with 3+ peer-reviewed publications
- Experience with GLP/GMP laboratory environments and regulatory compliance
