Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of robotic systems from concept to production prototype
- Design and validate mechatronic subsystems including sensors, actuators, and control algorithms
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate machine learning models for autonomous navigation
- Conduct failure mode analysis and implement robustness testing protocols
- Drive continuous improvement through rapid prototyping and iterative experimentation
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and publish research in industry forums
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining hands-on technical involvement
Qualifications
- PhD or MS in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years R&D experience
- Expertise in CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC)
- Proficiency in embedded systems (C++, Python) and real-time operating systems
- Strong background in control theory and dynamic systems modeling
- Published research in robotics or automation (IEEE conferences/journals preferred)
- Experience with motion planning algorithms and SLAM technologies
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable designs
