Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for web, mobile, and API applications
- Lead defect management processes using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation
- Perform manual and automated testing including regression, integration, performance, and security validation
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to define quality requirements and acceptance criteria
- Maintain test environments and CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing practices
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and development processes
- Mentor junior QA engineers and establish best practices for quality assurance methodologies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with emphasis on test automation (Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright)
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration/delivery pipelines
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing concepts
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) and API testing (Postman, RestAssured)
- Proficient in defect tracking systems and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in ISTQB or similar quality assurance framework preferred
