Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Lead automation initiatives using Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright to accelerate testing cycles
- Develop and maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, cases, and defect reports
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab
- Conduct root cause analysis of production issues and implement preventive measures
- Mentor QA team members on best practices and emerging testing technologies
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define quality metrics and KPIs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in software QA with proven track record in test automation
- Expertise in testing web applications, APIs (REST/SOAP), and mobile platforms
- Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, or JavaScript)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and defect management tools (JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Certifications in ISTQB or similar QA frameworks preferred
