Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, and performance testing
- Automate test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright for CI/CD integration
- Lead defect management lifecycle using JIRA and implement root cause analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics and KPIs
- Conduct exploratory testing and validate user acceptance criteria
- Maintain and improve test environments and QA documentation
- Mentor junior QA engineers and champion quality best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software QA with 2+ years in automation
- Expertise in API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and database validation
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or ISTQB Advanced Level preferred
- Proven track record of reducing defect escape rates by 40%+
