Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Automate test cases using Selenium, Cypress, and industry-leading CI/CD tools
- Lead defect management processes using JIRA, ensuring clear documentation and resolution tracking
- Conduct root cause analysis of critical defects and propose preventive measures
- Mentor junior QA engineers and establish best practices for test methodologies
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to define acceptance criteria
- Analyze test metrics to identify trends and improve quality processes
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (5+ years experience without degree)
- Expert knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and test automation frameworks
- Proficiency in Selenium, Appium, JIRA, Jenkins, and cloud testing platforms
- Strong experience with API testing (Postman, REST-assured) and performance testing tools
- Familiarity with security testing principles and vulnerability assessment
- Experience mentoring QA teams and implementing process improvements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration/delivery pipelines
